Heritage Centre at Flag Fen - Shop

The Heritage Centre and shop at Flag Fen opened on the 2nd January 2002. It was built with an environmental specification and this includes a natural ventilation system, under-floor heating, low energy lighting, recycled paper for insulation and a counter made from crushed milk cartons.
The Heritage Centre forms the entrance to Flag Fen and houses our shop and self-service café.
The Heritage Centre was built principally through funding procured by Peterborough Environment City Trust and the Millennium Commission.
It was constructed as part of the Green Wheel project (a network of cycleways and bridle paths that link the outskirts of the City to its Centre through a means of a Sustainable transport system).
